Join the Association
Membership in the Montana Dude Ranchers’ Association is open to any person, company, corporation, or association who owns or operates a ranch property in Montana and who will subscribe to the criteria of the Association. The association holds high standards so that people can be assured when they go to a MTDRA ranch all of their hospitality needs will be met.
Member Ranch Standards
A member ranch shall exemplify the western ranch ideal of personal, homelike hospitality and atmosphere. Requirements for membership include:
- Meal structure: The ranch shall follow the American Plan, meaning three meals per day are included in the ranch’s advertised rate structure.
- Horse-oriented operation: The ranch must be horse-oriented. Horses must be available to accommodate wranglers and all guests who choose to ride, western riding instruction must be available, livestock must be well cared for, and equipment must be kept in good repair.
- Health and safety: Each ranch shall meet all applicable state health and safety regulations.
- Accommodations: Guest accommodations must be clean and maintained in good repair.
